Natural and Relaxed Wedding Videographer at The Faversham
The Faversham is only 20 minutes away from us, and it has plenty of parking spaces. If you don’t drive, no problem. A 15-minute bus ride or 17 minutes on foot will get you there from the city centre.
If you just want to enjoy your big day with your family and friends, we are the best wedding videographers for you. We tend to stay quiet in the background filming you and your guests so you don’t have to worry about capturing the day. All you have to do is sit back and relax with a glass of Prosecco at the lovely terrace just outside of the venue. If it rains, you can simply chill in their conservatory, which is just as stunning as the rest of the venue.
Unique Weddings at The Faversham
The Faversham was first built as a hotel in 1947. It soon became a popular hangout spot for Leeds United football players and other British celebrities. The Faversham’s popularity did not stop there. It attracted the Goth scene in the 1980s and later brought famous house DJs such as Carl Cox to perform there. The history explains why The Faversham has such a unique vibe of olden days and modern features. Today, you can hire the venue for not only weddings but corporate and private parties. The staff are all very friendly and experienced, making sure the event runs smoothly all day and most importantly, guaranteeing you have a fabulous day!
The Conservatory at The Faversham is our favourite spot, and it is where James and Larisa got married. The glass ceiling creates the perfect soft lighting for the ceremony. The foliage hanging from above makes for a beautiful backdrop that assembles the look of a magical forest. It is spacious enough for 100 people to be in it or 85 people seated. James and Larisa had 62 guests, which gave plenty of room to move around. There was also a guitarist seated in the front singing beautiful acoustic tunes while the guests entered ahead of the ceremony. After the ceremony, everyone simply walked a few steps to the front of the venue for the epic confetti throw. No stairs are required from the Conservatory, which is ideal for anyone with mobility issues. They also have an accessible toilet in the Main Room.
The Terrace is one of guests’ favourite hangout spots after the ceremony and the meal. It has tables and seats to enjoy drinks and canapés. Some of the family and friends were playing Jumbo Jenga and 4 in a Row while the others were bonding with old friends and making new connections.
The Lounge is another top spot at The Faversham. How cool is it that they kept the original features of the room dated back to the 1950s? The leather Chesterfield sofa against the floor-to-ceiling windows is the perfect spot for the couple to enjoy some time to themselves after all the mingling. It also makes for a stunning shot! The large plants in the background are striking enough, but not overpowering with the high ceiling feature. For those who prefer an intimate wedding, this would be a great ceremony room!
The food at The Faversham was tasty. The chicken was juicy and the potatoes were soft. The dessert was just as good! The lovely staff offered us coffee too, which was a nice bonus! The Main Room is huge! It not only has space for up to 140 guests to dine in but also room for sofas on the side for people to hang out after the meal. It is also where Larisa and James had their first dance. The wooden timber floors and tables make for a unique contrast to the newly refurbished futuristic bar in the back. When guests wanted a break from the dance floor, they could easily grab drinks from the bar which was only a few feet away.
Videography at The Faversham in the heart of Leeds
The Faversham is friendly in every way possible, including dog-friendly. Imagine having to arrange a hotel for your dog on your wedding day. It’s just more wedding planning to add to the long list. At Faversham, you can simply bring yours or use the ‘doggy chaperone’ service they provide. They always make for great video footage too!
The close proximity from The Faversham to the University of Leeds is great for some outdoor shoot opportunities! We were able to capture some beautiful videos of James and Larisa having a stroll around the campus in their gorgeous dress and suits. The University of Leeds Sustainable Garden was particularly vibrant! The glorious spring sunshine on the couple with flowers blooming in the background was simply dreamy! The university building worked well as a backdrop as it showcased their young love.
